Khamissa Keita, Licensed Midwife & President of Season of Hope

Topic: Language Barriers and Their Outcome in Pregnancy and Birth

Born and raised in Africa, trained in Germany, and now practicing in Florida, Khamissa brings decades of global midwifery experience. Fluent in French, German, and Bambara, she advocates for self-determination in birth and the power of culture in shaping maternity care. She currently leads efforts to reduce maternal mortality through Season of Hope’s birth center project in Mali, West Africa.
