Possessed: Curse of the Kress Halloween Party
This Halloween season, Kress Contemporary becomes haunted ground for an unforgettable night of art, performance, frights, and delights. Possessed: Curse of the Kress is a collaborative fundraiser benefiting Kress Contemporary, Fringe Theatre, Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA), and Tempus Projects.
Expect a gothic horror dance party, ghost story salons, Cursed Karaoke, horror film screenings, and more!
Opening Reception for Arts Council Honors
Hosted by the Arts Council of Hillsborough County (ACHC) and Kress Contemporary, Arts Council Honors is a group exhibition celebrating six award-winning artists—recipients of the ACHC 2025 Professional Development for Artists Grant, which provides support for projects advancing the careers of artists throughout the county. This year’s recipients purchased equipment and developed projects specifically for this special exhibition. Explore Arts Council Honors during the opening reception on Oct. 16, in conjunction with the Ybor Arts Tour, and discover new creations by a dynamic group of regional artists.

Artist Mike Cannata, a current MFA candidate at the University of South Florida, presents a solo exhibition at REVERB Gallery that unites painting and ceramics to explore the sensory interplay of color, texture, and perception. Through vibrant surfaces and tactile forms, Cannata’s work invites viewers into a world where the boundaries between seeing, touching, and feeling dissolve.

A biannual, self-guided experience, the Ybor Arts Tour brings together a diverse range of galleries, performance spaces, and commercial and hospitality venues that hold space dedicated to the arts year-round. The event highlights visual art, live performance, and literary expression throughout historic Ybor City and is free and open to the public—offering an immersive look into Tampa’s vibrant and growing creative community.
Everybody Draw Everybody Group Portrait Swap
Everybody Draw Everybody is coming to Tempus Projects October 11 for a special evening of speed portrait swaps. All skill levels are welcome, supplies provided, seats are limited, RSVP required.
Come draw alongside “Doodle Noodle” artist @upperhandart in this group activity and take a lap of the entire “Doodle Noodle” exhibition at Tempus Projects.
