Kress Contemporary invites the public to the opening of CURRENTS: New Work from the Artists of Kress Contemporary, a dynamic group exhibition debuting Thursday, July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. inside the historic Kress building in Ybor City.

Tampa Fringe is off to a good start in Ybor City. The indie performing arts festival had a packed house for their first preview night on Wednesday, June 11.

About two dozen acts took the stage to perform 3-minute previews of their Fringe shows before a live audience at Kress Contemporary on Seventh Avenue in Ybor City. Altogether, they show the variety possible with an uncensored, unjuried performing arts festival.
